Gastonia Grizzlies 8 Savannah Bananas 5

The Savannah Bananas played on the road Saturday evening in Gastonia, N.C. against the Gastonia Grizzlies. in front of 4,294 fans, Gastonia won 8-5.
Savannah scored late in the game scoring 2 runs in the 7th inning and 3 runs in the 9th inning. The Grizzlies out hit the Bananas 12-8. Both teams made 3 errors.
Leading hitters for Savannah: T.J. Talley,dh(University of Georgia) and Jake Howard,1b(North Georgia)- both were 2-for-3 with 1 run scored.
Savannah returns home Monday evening June 5th at Grayson Stadium to play the High Point-Thomasville HiToms. It will be ring ceremony night with the 2016 Banana team receiving their rings for winning the CPL championship. The game is close to being sold out. Game starts at 7::05pm.
