Took a long road trip last night to Florence, SC. We started stretching and warming up but 20 minutes in we were sent into the clubhouse for a lightning delay. Soon the rain came and the field got washed out. We headed home around 8 pm and we will make up the game next time we go to Florence as a double header.
Today we take on the Gastonia Grizzlies back at home for the third time this week. In Wednesday's double header we took two tough losses with both games ending 2-1. Today, starting pitcher Bryan Cruse will take the mound for us. Cruse is going into his red-shirt junior year at the University of Memphis. He is 1-1 on the year with a victory in his last home start against the Lexington Blowfish. We stand at 3-9 on the year and look to get going in the right direction today.
