Fayetteville SwampDogs 7 Savannah Bananas 4

The Savannah Bananas hit the road Monday June 12th to play in Fayetteville, N.C. against the Fayetteville SwampDogs.

Fayetteville won the game 7 to 4 in front of 1,502 fans.

The SwampDogs out hit the Bananas 9-7. Savannah committed 2 errors.

In the 4th inning for Fayetteville, short stop, Justin Hawkins hit a home run over the left center field fence driving in 2 runs, giving the SwampDogs a 2-1 lead.

Savannah scored 2 runs in the 9th inning when Chris Bashlor,ph/c(Lipscomb University) singled to score 2 runners who previously were hit by pitches.

Leading hitter for Savannah, Logan Mattix,cf(Georgia College) was 3-for-5 with 1 RBI and a run scored.  

The Bananas play on the road Tuesday, June 13 against the Lexington County Blowfish.
