The Gastonia Grizzlies defeated the Savannah Bananas in the second game of the double header 2-1 Wednesday at Grayson Stadium.

Gastonia scored one run in the 5th inning and one run in the 7th inning.

Savannah scored their run in the 3rd inning. Utah James,ss(UNC) singled, stole second and advanced to third on a throwing error by the catcher and scored on a sac fly.

Savannah starting pitcher, Evan Lovic(Baldwin Wallace) pitched 4 2/3 innings, allowed 1 run on 6 hits, struck out 4 and walked one batter.
